Umoja: Kickin’ Back on the Couch
Here’s a bit of a throwback. Umoja’s Kickin’ Back on the Couch. I made this back in July but never posted it because it’s really just a sketch. I’ve been learning to rig and pose 3D figures in Blender so I can later render them out as coloring book images. Once a figure is rigged, you have to test it out to be sure the Read More …
Kinara’s Children Coloring Book: Ujima and Ujamaa
Here’s another batch of images potentially destined for my upcoming coloring book. Imani’s Queenly Fashion
Just putting in some work over the weekend. Imani needed a new outfit for an upcoming fashion shoot so I fitted these two gowns for her. It’s the same gown actually with different textures. Imani always had a thing for Ancient Egyptian fashion so these seem to fit the bill. I’m still working with her crown but I may try a different one as well. Definitely Read More …
Faces of Umoja: A Study
The next to get the expressions treatment is Umoja, the Mother, wife to Kuumba and mother of Nia. Good to see her let it all out as she’s probably the most emotional of all the Children. There are six basic expressions. I look at them as related in twos. So we have:Joy and SadnessAnger and DisgustSurprise and Fear There are certainly others but these are the basics Read More …
